DENTAL EXHIBITION 2018, MEC PAIANIAS, 18-20 MAY
ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH
- THE PROPERTIES OF ENGINE-DRIVEN FILES USED IN THE FIELD OF ENDODONTOLOGY
The flexibility and fatigue resistance are two of the most basic properties of engine-driven files used in the field of Endodontology. Increasing the size of the file has a negative impact on both the flexibility and the fatigue resistance of the file. So, the attempt to adequately prepare highly curved root canal can lead to iatrogenic errors (file breakage, destruction of the anatomy of root canal). The crystalline phase of martensite significantly increases the resistance of nickel-titanium alloy to breakage as well as the flexibility of the file. The controlled memory endodontic files Hyflex CM & EDM, whose alloy is in the phase of martensite, appear particularly flexible and resistant to breakage. However, the most significant feature is that these files make clear the signs of fatigue, thus minimizing the likelihood of unexpected iatrogenic errors.

- RUBBER DAM ISOLATION FOR ENDODONTIC TREATMENT
In recent years rubber dam isolation has been established as a standard of care for endodontics, while newer studies show its great significance in restorative dentistry. This presentation and live demonstration aims to simplify the isolation procedure, helping attendants become familiar with basic principles and techniques.

- DIGITAL DENTISTRY, MUCH MORE CLINICAL
Is more technology always better clinically? Which technologies, materials and workflows actually work for us and not against us? Is it possible to offer our patients modern CAD/CAM restorations with high precision, low cost and without prior investment in technology? How can we promote our clinical work with the help of our dental technician and a simple computer?
Those and many other questions will be answered in COLTENE’s presentation which will include clinical cases and live demonstrations of materials and methods.
AFFINIS DCode scannable A-silicone: The highly accurate impression material that introduces us to the three-dimensional era.
BRILLIANT Crios CAD/CAM composite: The flexible and cost-effective material for indirect restorations.
BioSonic UC150 ultrasonic cleaning device: The ideal solution for a modern hygienic protocol in the dental office.

In restorative dentistry, impressioning aims to copy the dentolabial tissues. This copy has to render accurate casts in a precise and repeatable procedure for both conventional and on implant supported restorations. The correct material and the method used are the prerequisites for an accurate impression. Also, the clinician has to assess his result according to a protocol, prior to send it to the lab or repeat the procedure.
Clinical details of the precise impressioning will be thoroughly analyzed in this workshop. The impression taking procedure will be clinically demonstrated and the participants will take clinical impressions and will assess their tryouts according to the protocol of acceptance of the accurate dental impressions.
